My initial thought was that this should be illegal.  Then I realized that he’s blending toys based on the movie, which is okay… because they pretty much stink anyway.  So blend away!

Holy crap. There have been 68 unique Optimus Prime toys released between 1984 and 2007. Not surprisingly, “Optimus Prime” is the most reused name in the Transformers universe, followed by Megatron (44), Bumblebee (29), and Starscream (27).

I’m sure I have more Optimus Primes than any other name/character in my collection, but I’m also sure that I don’t have anywhere near 68 of him. Maybe 20?

While I’m usually not a fan of any non-transforming Transformers (kinda defeats the point, don’t you think?), I think the Robot Heroes are great.  They’re just so cute and cuddly!  Okay, maybe not cuddly.

I have most if not all of the G1 ‘bots (read: NOT the movie characters), and it looks like more are coming!  I’ll probably pass on the Beast Wars characters, though.  They’re not real Transformers!

I’m actually pretty stoked about this cartoon.  Yeah, it’s a huge departure from anything we’ve seen before, but considering that the Transformers cartoons of late have been less than stellar, I’m ready for something completely different.  The toys look pretty cool, too, though they’re apparently not due to land until mid-2008.

I can’t say that I saw this resemblance on my own, but now that it’s been pointed out, I totally agree.

I don’t normally watch Scrubs, but it came on after The Office last night.  In the episode, Donald Faison’s character (Dr. Christopher Turk) could be seen wearing an Optimus Prime t-shirt!  This is at least the second Transformers reference to have appeared on Scrubs.

It’s a complete departure from all previous incarnations, but it looks great!
